I made my own original Cup Noodles!

I headed to the Cup Noodles Museum in Ikeda, Osaka, early in the morning!

Since it was a weekday morning, we didn’t have to wait long after getting our numbered tickets and headed straight to the My Cup Noodles Factory♪

There were two adults and one child in our group this time.

First, we bought our cups from the vending machine. During busy times, each person can only purchase up to one cup, but on the day we went, it wasn’t very crowded, so each person could buy up to three cups♪

※ It’s recommended to visit in the morning, especially on weekends and holidays, as those days tend to be quite crowded!

The two adults each got one cup, and the child got two cups. After disinfecting our hands with alcohol, we started designing our cups!

They provide special pens for you to use, so you can design using your favorite colors! Drawing the cute chick character from Chicken Ramen is recommended and adorable!

※ Please follow the staff’s instructions and enjoy designing while adhering to the guidelines regarding your designs.

Once you finish your design, you head to the topping counter to add noodles to your cup. Placing the cup over the noodles and turning the handle sets the noodles inside the cup. You might wonder why noodles aren’t added from the top directly—this is because placing them from the top would not set them properly inside the cup.

This process is also used in the machinery at Cup Noodles factories. It’s a critical part of the innovative process for making Cup Noodles, highlighting the importance of unconventional thinking.

And once the noodles are set in the cup, it’s time to choose the soup and toppings!!

You can choose from classic flavors like “Cup Noodles,” “Cup Noodles Curry,” “Seafood Noodles,” and “Chili Tomato Noodles” for the soup.

tabisuru neko chose “Cup Noodles Curry”!

Then, you choose four toppings from a selection of twelve ingredients. This time, I chose kimchi, special toppings, cheddar cheese, and chick-chan naruto ♪ The chick-chan naruto is so cute it really lifts your spirits

Once all the toppings are added, they seal the cup with a lid using a method called shrink wrapping, which uses heat and pressure to tightly wrap the cup Noodles with a film. After that, they inflate it into an air package … and it’s complete!

The air package comes with a string attached, so you can easily carry it over your shoulder, which was convenient for bringing it home♪ I had a photo taken with the three cups of noodles, including a chick-chan statue.

There’s also a Chicken Ramen Factory there too!
