【Experience Report】Introducing ‘Kashi Ringo,’ a Hidden Sweets Shop in Osaka’s Tennoji Area♪

A Sweet Shop with Western Pastries and Baked Goods

Kashi Ringo is a quaint little sweets shop that opened in Tennoji Hori Koshi-cho on June 22, 2024. The patissier trained at Ritz-Carlton and was part of the Hilton Osaka opening team!

The shop was a dream come true, realized at the age of 60. Each treat is carefully crafted, and on some days, they sell out by the time the shop closes!

Nestled in a quiet residential area off the main street, Kashi Ringo offers authentic Western pastries and baked goods. There are seasonal and weekend-only specials, so be sure to check their official Instagram for updates. It’s a shop that’s becoming increasingly popular through word of mouth, and I believe it will continue to gain attention. The owner and staff are very kind and even graciously allowed us to take photos! After chatting with them, I’m convinced this is a must-visit sweets shop every time I’m in the area.

Travelling Cat Also Paid a Visit♪

I visited Kashi Ringo, just a 1-minute walk from It’ ta de ChouChou, which opened in September 2024!

The shop, transformed from an old Japanese-style house, has an inviting, charming exterior.

※Travelling Cat almost bumped into the glass, so be careful!

Inside, you’ll find a display case filled with cakes. The popular cream puffs are limited to five per customer, and when I visited, there was just one left! (The photo was taken before the cream puffs were restocked.)

They also offer scones (onion and chocolate chip), perfect for breakfast or a light snack.

Here’s a gift set of three types of cookies!

They also sell financiers, meringues, muffins, and more—all looking absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be back to try more when I’m in the area.
